Reporting abuse on Frendy
Frendy is end-to-end encrypted, so we cannot read message content. But abuse of the service is taken seriously — here is exactly how to report it and what we can do.

How to report
Email us with as much detail as you can safely share. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
Helpful details to include:
- The account or username involved, and where you encountered it.
- What happened and when (dates/times help).
- Any context you choose to share. Because chats are end-to-end encrypted, we cannot see them — your report is how we learn of a problem.
What we can and cannot do
Because Frendy is end-to-end encrypted:
- We cannot read message content, media, your keys or your PIN — we do not have them.
- We cannot retroactively decrypt or monitor conversations.
- We can suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate our Terms of Use.
- We can act on server-side signals (spam patterns, reported accounts) and remove content that exists unencrypted on our infrastructure, where it exists.
Response times
- We aim to acknowledge reports within 72 hours.
- Child safety and credible threats to life are handled at the highest priority, as fast as possible.
- Other reports are reviewed and actioned as warranted.
Zero tolerance
The following lead to immediate account termination and, where legally required, reporting to the relevant authorities:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any exploitation of minors.
- Terrorism or incitement to violence.
- Human trafficking; sale of weapons or illegal drugs.
- Large-scale fraud, phishing or malware distribution.
These categories are also set out in our Terms of Use.
Law-enforcement requests
For requests from law enforcement, see our Transparency Report. By design we can provide only the limited metadata described in our Privacy Policy, and never message content — we cannot read it.
